TIMOTHY HALLCROFT spent the last eight years working in the Australian vaping industry and is well-known for his knowledge on all things regarding vaping systems and vaping nicotine. He set up various businesses and owned his own small business in the vaping industry on the Sunshine Coast.

Previously, he spent 14 years in construction, working for local companies across the Sunshine Coast. Prior to that, he worked in the timber industry in New South Wales (NSW) as a key operator and later as an OH&S Manager and Rehabilitation Coordinator. Tim also served six years with the NSW Fire Brigade, as the station OH&S Coordinator, and volunteered for eight years with the Rural Fire Brigade.

Tim is a proponent of fact-based evidence and believes there is a huge need for education and training on matters concerning both cannabis and hemp industries. He believes the right for all responsible adults to grow cannabis privately and use socially should be readily accepted and legal, for all.

The medicinal side of cannabis needs to seriously be looked at to ensure it is made much more affordable both for product/s and device/s. The new laws regarding vaping that passed through federal parliament will severely affect the cannabis industry and will have a lasting negative effect on the patients that use this system.

Tim aims to bring accountability to the political arena, and the politicians within, on many areas of the current system and will voice the concerns of all constituents across the seat of Glass House and beyond to all of Queensland, and any other relevant Australian citizens, to the Parliament of Queensland.

Election Q&A: What are your top three priorities for the Sunshine Coast community?

Timothy Hallcroft, Legalise Cannabis Queensland (Party)

My first and most important priority is to bring better education and training to the Coast. Making school-based apprenticeships open to all students to focus on our skills shortage. To look at the Government to enter a more practical public housing model to tackle the housing crisis. By doing this the Government can put into practice a sustainable affordable housing market. To look at ways to help small businesses cope by putting forward a viable framework for a hemp industry that once set up, can create solid, full-time employment for many coastal communities and Queensland as a whole.
