Safe LNP seat along the coast that surrounds, but does not include, Bundaberg. Major population centres include Childers, Booyal, Elliott Heads, Bargara, Rosedale, Lowmead and Miriam Vale. 7,687 square kilometres.
MALCOLM PARRY is a retired Computer Analyst/Programmer and a long-term advocate for home growing cannabis for personal adult use and for lowering the cost for medical use.  He has surfed for over forty years and still likes to boogie board when he gets the chance. He is interested in fishing and rock fossicking along with being very conscious of environmental issues, for example, a proposed coal mine in a region’s food bowl is a big no-go! He sees the expansion of medicare to include hearing, vision and oral care as a dire need that must be met. He knows there is more that can be done about the cost of living including by capping rent increases. When it comes to the ‘problem’ of youth crime, he personally believes that by making parents/guardians and/or enablers of the minority of youth whom commit serious crimes more culpable, this will help lower the incarceration rate of Queensland youth. He would like to see an increase in hemp productivity to make smarter sustainable commercial choices, in particular for the building industry, to meet the challenges of the Australian climate.
